OBJECTIVES

  • Provide leadership training focused on recovery values to promote a trauma-informed recovery workplace culture.

  • Provide recovery-informed workplace training to employers and employees, which includes anti-stigma training, disability management services, third-party peer support, and workplace cognitive impairment training.

  • Encourage the identification of peer recovery champions within the organization and establish peer support groups for recovering employees.

  • Assess the financial impact of the loss of time, retraining, and supportive benefits due to mental health issues.

  • Develop a return-to-duty process for highly safety-sensitive work roles.

  • Develop specific signals, such as hard hat stickers, to indicate recovery-friendly and barrier-free workplaces.

  • Train co-workers on how to support employees struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
